Of all the devotions in the Church, that of the Precious Blood stands out as particularly anti-revolutionary. It was promoted in the nineteenth century by Blessed Gaspar del Bufalo, who was known as “the Hammer of Freemasons” and who suffered persecution and exile rather than be one with the French Revolution.

In 1849 Pius IX, exiled from Rome to Gaeta by the Freemasons, established the feast throughout the Church for the first Sunday of July

We invite you to submit your intentions, which will be placed on our altar to be remembered in all our Masses this Sunday, the Solemnity of the Precious Blood, as well asthroughout the whole month of July.
